Angela of Foligno (1248? - 1309)

The Umbrian Franciscan penitent and mystic recounted her religious experiences and teachings to her confessor, who wrote them out in Latin in The Book of Blessed Angela, Beatified by Clement XI 1701), in 2013 her canonization was recognized by Pope Francis.
