John of Reading (ca. 1272 - 1346)

English friar and disciple of John Duns Scotus, his commentary on the Sentences, originally given at Oxford (1317-20) was criticized by William of Ockham. We have from him some Disputed Questions and Quodlibets. He died in Avignon after long years of teaching there.
