John of Ripa Lectura super Primum Sententiarum, Distinctio secundas
The work of John of Ripa presents important innovations in 14th-century theology. A keen and critical reader of John Duns Scotus, he marks out new territory in this work representing the "mathematical theology" of his day.
First in Florence, now in Rome, since 1877 the Quaracchi Friars publish the results of research on the Franciscan intellectual and spiritual tradition. We specialize in critical editions of the writings of John Duns Scotus, Bonaventure, Alexander of Hales, Peter of John Olivi and other Franciscan thinkers.
We must honour all … those who minister the most holy divine words … as those who minister to us spirit and life.
