PurchaseThe author proposed for this work was likely born in Wales born before 1230 and after entering the Franciscan Order studied and taught in Oxford, becoming the sixth Franciscan lecturer there (1259-62), moving to Paris by 1270, where we was Regent Master (1281-83) and a member of the commission examining works of Peter of John Olivi. The Meditatio considers the virtues and mission of Francis and his Order, their poverty, charity and humility, and the importance of brotherhood.
